Years ago in Middlebury, Charlotte Rose Hill and Sam Wilder were in love. He proposed but his father threatened to destroy a teenaged Charlotte Rose so she turned down Sam. He left heartbroken as was she. Eventually Charlotte Rose converted the old Riley house into the Rose Cottage Tearoom.

Accompanied by his fiancée Audrey Anderson, Sam comes back asking “Lotty” if she has tea. Audrey requests Charlotte Rose to cater her marital reception at Rose Cottage. Though she has other suitors (Pastor Wally and Doctor Maverick) and held onto the wedding invitation she drew up for them in high school, Charlotte Rose realizes she never got over Sam, but he has Audrey in his life.

A Marriage in Middlebury is a wonderful Christian inspirational romance due to a deep cast in which loyalty and friendship matter. Fans will enjoy this second chance at love if Sam and Charlotte take that difficult first step but both believe their time passed almost two decades ago.
